Quince confit

This name reminds of France….and it is true. I “rebuilt” a recipe I learned during my years living in this country, with quince from the orchards near the manor house. Quinces are widespread throughout Romania but so far products based on these fruits have been limited. We thought of reinventing the yellow wonder of autumn.

Ingredients: Qunices, sugar, star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg

Content: 106 ml

Serving suggestions:
The quince confit can be served alongside a pork ham, cooked with spices and fired in the oven or with pork cooked in the oven. For a more intense taste, the confit can be warmed slightly before serving. We suggest accompanying it with a green salad with pears and honey mustard dressing.
